- I originally posted this recipe with using Greek Yogurt in it. However, you can use whipped cream such as my homemade sugar free whipped cream instead.
- This recipe calls for Vanilla Extract. However, you can feel free to sub in another extract such as maple extract or banana extract instead.
- Cover the mousse with plastic wrap or a similar wrap before you place it into the refrigerator to prevent a layer from forming on the top.
Chocolate mousse is often associated with Dutch Process Cocoa, which is different from the unsweetened cocoa powder.
Dutch Process Cocoa reacts better when combined with warm milk due to its acidity. One 'compromise' alternative to using Dutch Process Cocoa is to use a half Dutch and half regular unsweetened cocoa powder such as this one.
