People ask what is the difference between a brownie and a blondie.
I know some people who think that they are the same thing.
As long as they taste good, I suppose, who cares?
Technically, blondies and brownies are two different kinds of desserts.
Brownies after all, are brown thanks to the cocoa that is added to them while blondies are blond because they do not have cocoa added to them. But, you may also agree that it is okay to call a blondie a blond brownie because it reminds us of a brownie without the brown.
This recipe is for anyone asking how do you make sugar free brownies from scratch.
This recipe site is proof that there are many different ways to make sugar free brownies from scratch. That would also be true for sugar free blondies by the way.

This recipe calls for using a brown sugar alternative. Please use a granular brown sugar alternative that measures 1:1 with regular brown sugar for best results.
Here are some more helpful tips for you.
- I use Parchment Paper that overhangs the sides of my brownie baking pan. This allows me to easily remove the brownies from the pan (less mess!!) for cutting.
- This recipe calls for using a box of sugar free cake mix. Make this a keto low carb recipe by using a keto low carb cake mix instead. However, you could make this gluten free by using a gluten free cake mix.
- This is one of those recipes that should not be overmixed. My suggestion is to follow the mixing directions which will tell you how much you need to mix ingredients in each step.
What is a marble blondie
So I mentioned above that a blondie is kind of like a brownie but, without the unsweetened cocoa powder. A marble blondie simply has sugar free white chocolate chips (yay! these actually exist now!!) rather than the usual chocolate chips added to it.
