People always ask, what type of bread is best for French toast.

The success of French toast has a lot to do with how well the bread soaks up the eggs and milk that is used in the recipe. This means that using a thicker bread, one that is able to soak up liquids better, is the best choice for a great tasting French toast.

There are several good choices for bread that you can use in making French toast.

Brioche and Challah breads are very popular because of their density, flavors, and presentations.

    2. Allowing the bread to soak in the liquid for 15 minutes can help it absorb the moisture better. This helps to keep the toast from coming out soggy.
    3. French toast is best when cooked on medium heat. Heat the is higher will can the outside to burn while the inside undercooks and anything lower will probably not cook the eggs enough.
