Ingredients you will need to make this Vanilla Ice Cream recipe
- Heavy Whipping Cream. Your heavy whipping cream should be cold.
- Sugar Alternative. Use a granular sugar alternative that measures like sugar.
- Whole Milk. The milk should also be cold.
- Vanilla Extract. Use "pure' Vanilla Extract for optimal flavor.
- Salt. A small amount of salt is added to help balance the flavors and to for texture to the ice cream creamy.
Expert Tip ๐ Heavy whipping cream, or heavy cream, is used for its rich texture that makes the ice cream creamy. Using regular whipping cream has a lower milk fat and will result in less creamy ice cream.

Tips for making the best easy ice cream.
Using cold dairy ingredients (taken out of the refrigerator just before using) is done to keep the fat more stable when making the ice cream. This results in a creamier texture for your ice cream. You can also chill your mixing bowl, beaters, and loaf pan for the same reason as chilling your dairy ingredients.
More helpful tips for you.
- Add-in ingredients, such as sugar free candy or chopped nuts, can be carefully folded into the ice cream just before transferring it to the loaf pan.
- Swap out your vanilla extract for another flavor. I like a banana extract, maple extract, or mint extract with this recipe.
- The ice cream will be cold when you serve it. To make scooping the ice cream easier to do, simply run hot water over the scoop part of your ice cream scooper before serving. *Make sure that your scooper can handle the hot water before doing this.
- Feel free to add some goodies to this ice cream. I am referring to chopped nuts, sugar free chocolate chips, or even chopped up sugar free candy! Adding additional goodies works best stirring them in after the other ingredients have been allowed to set.
- You did not hear this from me but, I have heard that adding a bit of alcohol such as a flavored liqueur (teaspoon or two) can also help make your ice cream soft.
How to store no churn vanilla ice cream.
Leftover ice cream should be stored in an airtight freezer container such as an ice cream container. If properly stored, this ice cream should keep for up to a couple of months before ice crystals begin to form.

If I put the mixture into my freezer for 8 hours before putting it into my ice cream mschine, it would be too hard and would not be pourable to go in.
Sugar Free Diva
Hi. It is best to follow the manufacturers directions for your machine. I would think that 8 hours be too long for most machines as well.
Thanks

Ok I have a question how to make jelly to last longer than a couple of weeks in the refrigerator. My grandmother use to put wax in hers when canning. But is there a way to can the jelly as you have made them?
Sugar Free Diva
Hi. Sugar actually helps in the preserving and since we are not adding sugar, we would need to find another way to do this.
To be honest, I have not experimented with the preservative replacements myself. I am wondering if something like citric acid would help. However, citric acid could affect the taste. If you decide to try this, please let me know how it works out for you.
thanks!
