This is especially for anyone asking for a sugar free waffle cone recipe
We all know how hard it can be to find a cone that does not have sugar in it.
I am pretty sure that sugar free waffle cones are not even available in the town that I live in.
To make this recipe you will need a waffle cone maker.
You can find waffle cone makers online here. Make sure that yours comes with a waffle roller. Please note that a simple waffle maker is a different product and will thus, probably not work for this recipe.
Here are some tips for making homemade waffle cones.
Once your waffle cone in done, be quick when removing the waffle from the waffle maker. This is because the waffle starts to harden within 5-10 seconds making it important to start rolling the waffles immediately.
Here are some more helpful tips.
- I am always in awe when I see someone with a waffle cone has been 'lined' with chocolate. You can find sugar free chocolate chipsto melt and then line your cones with here . Allow the melted chocolate to harden before putting ice cream inside.
- Add a bit of food coloring to the batter to make your cones more colorful.
- Another option for that melted chocolate would be to partially cover the cone with melted chocolate. Dip your waffle cones in melted sugar free chocolate and sugar free sprinkles for a sweeter treat.
Have you ever wondered what is the difference between sugar and waffle cones?
Looking at a sugar cone and a waffle cone side by side would demonstrate that there is a difference in both size and construction of the cones. Waffle cones are generally larger cones that are made thicker and more sturdy to hold what I would say is a more serious amount of the cold stuff.
Here are some recipes ideas for what to put inside of your cones..
