Strawberry Banana Bread, a simple, moist, and delicious quick bread recipe made with fresh strawberries and No Added Sugar

Ingredients needed to make banana bread with strawberries.

This recipe calls for just seven simple ingredients that you may already have on hand.

    • Flour. All purpose flour was used to make my bread.
    • Baking Soda. This is the leavening agent used to make the bread rise.
    • Butter. Added for flavor and moisture. If you are using unsalted butter, you can add a half teaspoon of salt to the flour.
    • Brown Sugar Alternative.
for best results, select a granular brown sugar alternative that can be baked with and that measures and bakes like regular brown sugar.
    • Bananas. The bananas should be mashed.
    • Eggs. Your eggs should be at room temperature for optimal blending.
    • Strawberries. The strawberries should be diced.

Tips for making the best strawberry banana bread.

My bread was made with strawberries. However, you can use another berry or add other berries with the strawberries.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Make sure that you are using a very ripe banana for this recipe. Using a banana that is soft, will make it easier the blend the ingredients more successfully.
    2. Use fresh strawberries that are firm. This will make it easier for you to slice them.
    3. When adding the strawberries to the mixing bowl, it is best to gently fold them in rather than stirring them. This will help keep the strawberries intact while baking.
    4. Prep your loaf pan well for baking to help keep strawberries from sticking to the pan. I like to grease or spray my pan and then dust it with a bit of flour.
    5. When baking your bread check on it frequently while it is baking. Pulling the banana bread out of the oven too soon can cause the center to be soft or gooey as the bananas need to fully bake.
    6. Lastly, allow the bread cool before slicing and serving it. Doing so will help to prevent the bread from crumbling when you do slice it.
