I mentioned that this recipe uses fresh lemon juice. However, you can make this a more diet friendly recipe by using a keto or sugar free lemonade using mix instead.
Here are some more tips for you.
- Mix the lemon juice with another juice such as orange juice for a more fruity flavor. I like fresh squeezed oranges with this recipe.
- While I am using blueberries, you can use another kind of berry instead. I like strawberries as they have a good flavor and are also low in sugar.
- Thin out the flavor of these pops by adding more liquid such as sugar free lemonade, sugar free limeade, or even something creamy like coconut milk. You can make more pops doing this too!

About this recipe for frozen pops.
This is a frozen popsicle recipe that has no added sugar.
These pops have fresh lemon juice and berries added for flavor.
There is no added sugar in this recipe other than what comes from the low carb-friendly fruit that is added.
However, since there is a total half cup of juice added, you can easily sub in your favorite sugar fee lemonade mix instead. Also, you can thin out these pops by adding additional lemonade either with the half cup of juice or instead of the juice.
Ingredients needed to make sugar free lemonade popsicles.
- Lemon Juice- ½ cup. That is about two and a half lemons. I mentioned that you can use lemonade instead, add another kind of juice (such as orange juice), or use more liquid to thin these pops out and make more pops as a result.
- Blueberries- ⅓ cup. This is divided.
- Sugar alternative- up to ¼ cup. I like monk fruit or if you do not mind the sugar, honey.
How to make sugar free blueberry and lemonade frozen pops.
- Juice the lemons or make the lemonade if this has not been done as of yet. Also, prepare the popsicle molds as needed to get them ready.
- In a blender, place about a tablespoon of the berries along with the juice. Blend this until combined. Then adjust the flavor by adding the sugar alternative a bit at a time. Please note that when these pops freeze the acidic citrus flavor will be less intense so you may not want to add the full ¼ cup of alternative. If this mixture is too thick, you can add water or lemonade to thin it out.
- Divide the remaining blueberries by evenly placing them into the molds. Then pour the blended mixture over the blueberries to fill the molds.
- Freeze the pops until full frozen- about six hours or overnight.
