You may be wondering what is special about Crumbl cookies.
I happen to live in a location that does not have a crumbl cookie store.
Crumbl cookies have not been around for a long time yet, they are are extremely popular cookies (somewhat thanks to social media).
Crumbl cookies are known for both their packaging and for the unique cookies.
These cookies are fresh baked, are made with quality ingredients, and with a rotating menu to keep our taste buds active.
The packaging is equally unique to the product as the cookies are packaged in a pink oblong-shaped box.
People ask why us Oreo so popular.
Oreo cookies are possibly the most famous sandwich cookie around.
This could be because of the taste which sometimes has to do with how you eat it (do you eat the cookie whole or do you pull it apart?) .
The standard cookie is made with chocolate wafers with a sugary cream filling.
However, there are many different kinds of variations of these cookies beyond the cream filled chocolate wafers.
Over the years we have seen options in flavors and colors usually focused on holidays or events.
Here are some tips for making a copycat Crumbl cookie.
When selecting your sandwich cookie, select one that most resembles an Oreo for best results.
You may be lucky enough to find an actual sugar free "Oreo" but, I have not seen them available where I live in a long time.
More tips for you.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet after removing them from the oven. This will allow them to get crisp enough to hold the frosting and stay intact.
- Use a cookie scoop to make the cookies as this will keep the cookies at a uniform size. I like a two tablespoon (medium) sized cookie scoop for these cookies.
- To get the true 'Crumbl' look you will need a piping bag fitted with a 10 or 12 tip. However, your cookie will taste the same and you may save some time by simply using a frosting spatula to spread the frosting on top instead.
How to store Copycat Crumbl Cookies.
These cookies should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
If you choose to freeze these cookies, make sure that the cookies and frosting are fully set first.

About this recipe for sugar free copycat Crumbl cookies.
This is a sugar free version of an Oreo themed cookie.
However, this cookie features a chocolate wafer-like base with a cream cheese topping.
To make the frosting you will need to beat together the following ingredients.
Start by combining the cream cheese, butter and filling until cream. Then slowly beating in the powdered sugar.
- Cream Cheese- 8 ounces, softened to room temperature.
- Butter- ¼ cup, (a half stick) softened to room temperature.
- The inside cream filling from 20 sandwich cookies. You will need the cookie part for the cookies in this recipe.
- Sugar Free Powdered Sugar- 2 cups.
Ingredients needed to make this sugarfree cookie.
- Sugar Free Sandwich Cookies- 20. The cookies should resemble Oreos if you cannot find sugar free Oreos. For this recipe, you will need to separate the cookies, using the cookie part for the cookie base and the filling used for the frosting.
- Flour- ¾ cup all purpose. I have not tried this recipe using a keto or low carb flour. Feel free to try it making adjustments as needed.
- Baking Soda- ½ teaspoon.
- Butter- ½ cup (one stick), softened to room temperature. Unsalted is preferred.
- Sugar Alternative- ¼ cup. Please use a granular sugar alternative that measures 1:1 with sugar and that can get baked with for best results.
- Brown Sugar Alternative- 2 tablespoons. Again, use a granular brown sugar alternative that measures like brown sugar.
- Egg- 1. The egg should be at room temperature.
- Vanilla Extract- 1 teaspoon.
- Frosting- see recipe above.
- Additional crushed cookies for topping.
How to make Sugar Free Copycat Oreo Crumbl Cookies
- Start by separating 20 sandwich cookies. The cookie portion will need to be crushed either in a food processor or in a zip top bag using a rolling pin. Place the filling in a bowl that can be used to make the frosting.
- Preheat the oven to 325 and prep two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Transfer the crushed cookies to a medium bowl and use a fork or a whisk to combine the crumbs with the flour and baking soda. Set this bowl aside.
- In a mixing bowl and the mixer set on medium speed, cream together the butter with the sugar alternatives. Scrape the sides of the bowl down as needed. Add the dry ingredients from the medium bowl (crushed cookies etc.) and combine until just incorporated.
- Use a two inch cookie scoop to scoop each of the cookies and then place the cookies on to the prepared baking sheet. Then use the palm of your hand or the back of a large spoon to press the cookies into the baking sheet to about an inch thick. However, using your hands to roll the cookie dough into balls can be helpful if you are not having luck with the cookie scoop. Bake the cookies for 16-18 minutes or until the center of the cookies seems set. Remove the baking sheets and allow the cookies to cool on the sheets before frosting them.
- To use the piping method, start piping in the center of the cookie and pipe a dot. Then without releasing pressure, pipe a tight circle around the dot .
- Top the cookies with additional crushed sandwich cookies as desired.
