What makes frozen yogurt bark so good?

    ย
Made with healthier ingredients, frozen yogurt bark is a refreshing and easy to make snack can be customized with any combination of fruit and toppings.

I like how colorful this treat is thanks to the delicious fruit that is added to it.

Have you tried my recipe for Sugar Free Cherry Frozen Yogurt ?

That recipe for frozen yogurt is a simple recipe made with fresh cherries and yogurt. Both this yogurt bark recipe and that frozen yogurt are perfect cool treats especially on a warm day.

To make this recipe you will need shredded coconut. You can find a selection of shredded coconut here.

Sugar Free Frozen Yogurt Bark, a simple and delicious healthy snack made with healthy ingredients including yogurt and fresh fruit.

What you need to make Frozen Yogurt Bark.

    • Greek Yogurt. Added as a source of protein and for a creamy texture to the frozen yogurt bark. Full fat Greek Yogurt is recommended. You can alternatively use a vegan version.
    • Strawberries. The stems should be removed and the strawberries should be sliced thin. Feel free to use blueberries or raspberries.
    • Kiwi. The skin should be removed and the kiwi should also be sliced thin. Kiwi adds a tart flavor to balance out the sweetness of the strawberries. You can alternatively use pineapple, peach, or banana.
    • Shredded coconut. The shredded coconut adds a crunchy texture and tropical flavor to the bark. You can substitute shredded coconut with chopped nuts such as almonds, pecans, or walnuts
    • Optional, granola or nuts.

Expert tip ๐Ÿ‘‰ For the best flavor and texture, choose ripe and juicy fruit. This will make the frozen yogurt bark even more delicious.

How to make Yogurt Bark with fruit

    Preparation time: 10 minutes.
    Freeze time: 4 hours.
    10 servings.

    1. Start by lining a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper that hangs over the edges of the sheet.
    2. Use a whisk to mix your Greek yogurt until it is smooth and well blended. You can alternatively use a blender or a mixer to do this. Then transfer the yogurt to the lined baking sheet, spreading it out as evenly as possible using a rubber spatula.
    3. Next, evenly distribute your fruit over the yogurt. Start with the strawberries, leaving room between them, and then fill in the empty spots with the kiwi.
    4. Sprinkle the shredded coconut over the ingredients and then cover with plastic wrap before transferring the baking sheet to your freezer to set.
    5. It should take about four hours for the bark to fully set. When it has set, simply use the hanging parchment paper to lift the bark from baking sheet and then break or cut the bark into pieces.
    6. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in your freezer.

Sugar Free Frozen Yogurt Bark, a simple and delicious healthy snack made with healthy ingredients including yogurt and fresh fruit.

Tips for making the best frozen yogurt bark.

This recipe is made with Greek yogurt. Using a full fat Greek yogurt can give your bark better flavor and texture.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. My recipe calls for using strawberries, kiwi, and shredded coconut. Feel free to use the fruit of your choice or even adding chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or granola for an extra crunch.
    2. Use a rimmed baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper that overhangs the sides of the sheet. This will make it easier to transfer the yogurt for freezing and remove it from the baking sheet for breaking into pieces.
    3. When you add your toppings add each one evenly distributed over the yogurt. This will help to ensure that every bite has a perfect balance of flavors.
    4. Before breaking your yogurt bark into pieces, make sure that it is completely frozen solid. This will make it easier to cut or break into pieces and will give your yogurt bark the perfect texture.
    5. When you are ready to enjoy your frozen yogurt bark, let it thaw for a few minutes at room temperature before serving. This will make it easier to eat and will also help to bring out the flavors.

How to store frozen yogurt bark.

This frozen yogurt bark should be stored in an airtight container or wrapped individually airtight. If properly stored in your freezer this bark should keep for up to two weeks.
