    While the Macchiato feature the flavor of caramel, this recipe features pumpkin spice.

     

    This recipe calls for pumpkin puree. Please use a pumpkin puree that has no added sugar in it. Also, use pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling.

    Here are some tips for making pumpkin spice Dalgona coffee.

    You can make this a true 'Dalgona' or three ingredient coffee by omitting the pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice. Simple adjust your ingredients (instant coffee, sweetener, and hot water) to two tablespoons before adding it to the milk.

    Here are some more helpful tips for you.

    1. Using an electric stand mixer outfitted with a whisk attachment is highly recommended as the whipping is a long process. Whisking by hand can take about 10 minutes!
    2. Make this recipe with a 'mocha' twist. Simply add a teaspoon or so of unsweetened cocoa powder.
    3. While this recipe is for a warm coffee, you can make this an ice coffee. Simply use cold water and serve it over ice.

     

    How to make this a vegan whipped coffee

    Use only vegan diet friendly ingredients. This includes vegan pumpkin puree and vegan milk (oat milk works best).

    A few notes about making Pumpkin Spice Whipped Coffee with no added sugar.

    I mentioned above that whipping the ingredients before adding them to the glass is the most important part of this recipe. Because we are using sugar alternatives, the whipping may not stay as long as if we had used regular sugar.
     

    How to whip or whisk the ingredients.

    Whisk until the ingredient thicken enough to take shape. This process can take about 10 minutes by hand. You can also try using an immersion blender.
     

    Sugar Free Pumpkin Spice Dalgona Whipped Coffee

    Ingredients needed to make this sugar free version of Dalgona coffee recipe.

    Note: double your ingredients if using a standard stand mixer so that the whisk attachment can fully reach the ingredients.

    • Milk- 1 to 2 cups or as desired. Use an unsweetened nut based milk or oat milk as alternatives.
    • Instant Coffee- 1 tablespoon of granules.
    • Granular Sugar Alternative- 1 ½ tablespoons (measured 1:1 with sugar).
    • Boiling Water- 2 tablespoons.
    • Pumpkin Puree- ¾ tablespoon. Please use a pumpkin puree that has no added sugar in it.
    • Pumpkin Pie Spice- ½ teaspoon plus additional for topping.
    • Optional- ice

    How to make

     

    • Prepare a cup(s) or glass(s) with ice. Then add the milk to the cup or glass.
    • In a mixing bowl, whip or whisk the coffee, sugar alternative, pumpkin spice, and boiling water together (using a stand mixer or a hand mixer). This can take about three minutes in a mixer with a whisk attachment or using immersion blender. Whisk until the ingredients appear foamy and can hold some kind of structure. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl, as needed.
    • Gently stir in the pumpkin puree to the whipped ingredients. Then pour over the milk and ice.
    • Stir if desired and serve.
    • Sprinkle some extra pumpkin spice on top.
