- Peaches. Any variety peach will work. Your peaches should be medium sized and ripe.
- Lemon Juice. Use freshly squeezed lemon juice. The lemon juice is added to help preserve the color of the peaches.
- Ground Cinnamon. Added for flavor.
- Pectin. Pectin is needed to thicken the peach butter to a spreadable consistency. Follow the packaging directions for using the pectin as sometimes pectin needs to be dissolved in water before using.

- Place the peaches in the base of a six quart slow cooker. Then add the remaining ingredients on top of the peaches.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid according the manufacturer's directions. Cook the peaches until softened (on high for two to three hours or low for four to six hours) .
- Carefully use an immersion blender to puree the softened peaches. Alternatively, you can use a blender of food processor however, you may need to do this in batches.
- Allow the peach butter to cool completely to room temperature before storing.

Using peaches that are more ripe is preferred as these peaches will be easier to remove the skins from. Also, fruits that are more ripe tend to be more sweet which will add to the flavor of your butter.
