What makes Cake Mix Peach Cobbler so good?

    ย
Cake mix peach cobbler is a simple to make layered dessert made with fresh peaches that takes only 10 minutes to prepare.

I like that this dessert is based upon a 'dump' style cake recipe and that it uses fresh fruit to make.

Have you tried my Homemade Sugar Free Peach Pie?

That is a simple pie recipe made with fresh peaches. Like with this recipe, that peach pie also has no added sugar in it.

To make this recipe you will need yellow cake mix. You can find sugar free yellow cake mix here.

What you need to make cake mix peach cobbler.

    • Peaches. Skin and pit removed and the sliced. Using peaches that are not too soft to slice is recommeneded.
    • Brown sugar alternative. Use a brown sugar alternative that can also be baked with.
    • Cornstarch. Feel free to us an alternative as desired.
    • Lemon Juice. This adds a bit of flavor and helps to preserve the peaches.
    • Ground Cinnamon. This adds both flavor and helps this smell amazing while baking in the oven!
    • Sugar Free Cake Mix. Yellow cake mix works best.
    • Butter. The butter adds moisture as well as that flavor you would expect from a good cobbler. The butter should be cut into cubes.

Tips for making the best cake mix peach cobbler.

This recipe calls for fresh peaches that have been peeled. Feel free to use frozen peaches as long as peaches are the only ingredient in the package (ie. no added sugar).

Here are some more helpful tops for you.

    1. This recipe makes a thick and crunchy cobbler crust. You can alternatively use only use a quarter less of the box ingredients for a thinner crust.
    2. While your cobbler is baking, it is a good idea to rotate it in the oven after about 20 minutes of baking. This will help for the cobbler to bake evenly.
    3. While you rotate the cobbler baking in the oven and you notice 'dry spots' in the cobbler, you can add additional butter as needed for moisture.
    4. Bake this cobbler until the top or crust is golden and there is bubbling of the ingredients. This should take about 40-45 minutes.

    How to store peach cobbler.

Once your peach cobbler has fully cooled it should be stored in an airtight container. When properly stored, peach cobbler can keep for up to five days when refrigerated or frozen for up to a few months.
