More helpful tips for you.
- It is a good idea to clean or rinse your strawberries before using them in this recipe. However, the strawberries need to be completely dry before dipping into the chocolate for the chocolate to fully stick.
- Make your strawberries in a heart shape for a more romantic look. You can do this by cutting the stem area in a v shape.
- When you coat your strawberries with the melted chocolate, carefully twist the strawberry around to coat. Do this over the bowl of chocolate to allow the excess chocolate to drip back in.
- If your chocolate seems to be getting thick while you are using it you can place it back into the microwave. 10-15 seconds should be sufficient and do not forget to stir.
How to store chocolate covered strawberries.
Place your chocolate covered strawberries in a parchment paper lined container.
If stored properly in an airtight container they should keep for about five days.

- Sugar Free Chocolate Chips- 1 cup. Keto chocolate chips, gluten free chips, and vegan chips are alternatives.
- Coconut Oil- 3 tablespoons or as needed to get your melted chocolate smooth.
- Strawberries- 20 or as desired. Use large strawberries as they are easier to work with and they look better. The amount needed for this recipe depends on the size of the strawberries, how much chocolate you add to each strawberry, and the amount of chocolate you use.

How to make Sugar Free Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
- Wash the strawberries and allow them to dry. Also, you should prep a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Melt your chocolate in a double boiler or by using the microwave method. To melt in microwave, simply place the chocolate in a shallower (if possible) microwave safe bowl with a tablespoon of the coconut oil. Stop the microwave every 30 seconds to stir the chocolate is melted and smooth. You can stir in additional coconut oil as needed.
- When the chocolate is melted and smooth carefully transfer it to your work area. Use a fork, skewer, or strawberry dipper to dip the first strawberry into the chocolate. However, keep the strawberry over the melted chocolate as you use a spoon to scoop melted chocolate over the strawberry as needed. Allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl (you may need to gently give the strawberries a tap). Place the chocolate covered strawberry on the parchment paper and repeat with the remaining strawberries. Once the strawberries are dry and the chocolate has hardened repeat this process a second time if needed.
- Top the strawberries as desired. Some toppings work best when the chocolate is fully hardened. Feel free to place the strawberries in the refrigerator to help them harden.
- Serve the chocolate covered strawberries or refrigerate them.
