Keto Low Carb Vegetable Wraps

This is a simple recipe idea for making a keto low carb diet friendly wrap.

I like that this a delicious as well as an alternative to the usual wrap that may be loaded in carbohydrates!.

Have you tried my low carb shrimp lettuce wraps?

That low carb wrap recipe used lettuce leaves instead of a tortilla or wrap to hold the ingredients in.
This recipe uses an actual wrap that is low in carbohydrates.

You can find a selection of low carbohydrate wraps online.
I also have a recipe for low carb cauliflower tortilla wraps that you can use.

People ask are veggie wraps good for you

This is a low carbohydrate wrap that is made with vegetables.
It can also be made as a vegetarian or vegan recipe.

Just as with any other recipe that I share, it really is as healthy as the ingredients that you put into it and the method that the recipe is prepared.

As long as the ingredients that you use are 'healthy' and you prepare them as indicated, this should be a healthy recipe. You can however, personalize this recipe as I will explain in a moment.

This recipe is for anyone asking for veggie wraps ideas.

The vegetables used in this recipe complement each other in flavor, texture and color.
They are also common vegetables that you should be able to find locally.

This recipe uses a mayonnaise as a wet ingredient to merge the vegetables together.

You can find vegan mayonnaise here. Another option is to use a salad dressing instead.

Here are some tips for making easy veggie wraps.

Using fresh wraps or tortillas is essential for the success of this recipe. When they are not fresh they tend to break and are harder to fold.

Here are some more helpful tips for you.

  1. Yes, this is a vegetarian or vegan recipe as well as a low carbohydrate one. Feel free to add meat if you are simply interested in the low carb part. Bacon, pepperoni, and sliced cooked chicken can work well for you.
  2. Tortillas and wraps both work in this recipe. Choose one that is low in carbos and large enough to hold the other ingredients too.
  3. This recipe in meant to be eaten as is. However, you could heat this up with a bit of cheese (depending on the vegetables that you use) as an alternative.

You may be wondering how do you fold veggie wraps.

The goal of folding a wrap is to prevent the food inside from falling out.
Hence, this is some essential folding and tight rolling that needs to take place.

I mentioned above that this is intended to be a vegan recipe that can be adjusted.

That is, you can personalize this recipe by adding cheese and meats if you are simply looking to make a low carb wrap. Also, anyone can personalize these wraps by omitting or subbing in alternative ingredients, as long as they can fit.
Ingredients

Ingredients needed to make easy veggie wraps.

  • Beetroot- 1 small, grated.
  • Grated Carrots- ½ cup.
  • Red Bell Pepper- ½, chopped (about a quarter cup).
  • Onion- ½ cup chopped (red preferred)
  • Avocado- 1. The avocado should have the skin and pit removed. Slice the avocado into slim slices.
  • Mushrooms- 4 fresh and sliced.
  • Large Low Carb Tortillas or Wraps- 4.
  • Vegan Mayonnaise- ½ cup or as needed.
  • Spinach leaves- 1 cup. You can use any dark green leaf if desired.

How to make these Keto Low Carb Vegetable Wraps

  • Prepare the vegetables if you have not done so. Grate the beetroot and carrots. Chop the red pepper and the onion. Slice the avocado and the mushrooms.
  • It is easiest to make each wrap one at a time. Soften the individual tortillas by placing them into the microwave for 10-20 seconds or until soft. Then lay them on a cutting board or flat surface.
  • Distribute the mayonnaise throughout the tortilla. Place the ingredients, one at a time, on top of half of the tortilla, leaving space on the edges so that you can fold the tortilla properly.
  • Start by folding in the sides leaving about an inch in between in the center. Fold in the sides of the wrap, bringing up the bottom using your thumbs. Continue rolling the wrap until done.
