- Combine the toasted ingredients with the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- When you are able to press this ingredients together, press it into a prepared pie pan and then refrigerate until set.
Fillingย
- In a large mixing bowl, combine together the peanut butter, cream cheese, and sugar free powdered sugar. I use a paddle attachment and beat this until I get a smooth consistency.
- Use a rubber spatula to fold in the whipped topping, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Transfer the contents from the bowl to the pie crust and evenly distribute the ingredients in the crust.
- Refrigerate the pie until the ingredients are set, about 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, you can make the ganache and allow it to cool to room temperature before topping the peanut butter layer with it.
- Chill this pie before serving. It should take a couple of hours to fully set with the ganache topping. I will usually make more than one pie and then freeze them away. These pies last awhile in the freezer and make for great desserts later on as well.
ย Ganache.
- Start by placing the chocolate chips into a heat safe bowl.
- Then place the heavy cream in the microwave, using a microwave safe bowl.
- Heat the cream until it begins to bubble or steam, stopping to carefully stir every 15-20 seconds.
- Carefully pour the heated heavy cream over the chocolate chips and allow the cream to melt the chips (3-5 minutes).
- Blend or whisk the ganache, adding any additional flavoring (such as a half teaspoon of vanilla extract if desired), until the ingredients are well blended.

Tips for making the best peanut butter pie.

Here are some more tips for you.
- Feel free to skip the ganache topping if you do not like all of the chocolate. You can easily use shaved chocolate instead.
- While I am providing you with a pie crust recipe, you are welcome to use the pie crust of your choice. You can even use a premade pie crust if desired.
- You will also need a tub of whipped topping for this recipe. Make sure that you whipped topping is sugar free or low in sugar and also, that it is thawed when added to this recipe.
