Grilled Lemon Garlic Chicken
It is grilling season and there are some people who are happy to know it.
Chicken is a popular item to grill in my house which means that we are grilling a lot of chicken. A variety of chicken recipes helps keep the variety of grilled chicken intact.
Garlic and lemon sound like a match made in food heaven in my mind.
Both of these have a distinct taste. This distinct taste is a taste of their own and a taste that separates them from the others. When garlic and lemon are together in a marinade there seems to be a perfect combination of tastes.
It is a good thing for an at-home chef/ griller that when combined together, garlic and lemon make a great marinade.
Making additional marinade makes it easy to serve this recipe with a sauce. Simply double the marinade recipe and then divide it in half. Set half of the marinade aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Use the remaining marinade for the recipe. It is important to not use the soaking marinade as the serving marinade and to keep these apart.
I made this recipe using kabobs.
Cooking this using a kabob or skewer makes it easy to serve. I will often add vegetables to the skewer to dress it up. You could use any kind of skewer for the kabob. Omitting any kind of a skewer and enjoy the lemon garlic chicken breast as is.
The prep for this recipe is done in advance.
Making this recipe in advance is a plus to the taste. Soaking in a marinade overnight will allow for the fullness of the flavors to soak in.
