See The Recipe- (warning, jumping to recipe can result in missing important information including alternative ingredients and tips.)It is good to know How to make Sugar Free Pumpkin Dip this time of the year.
You can dip just about anything in it such as apples or crackers. Also, it tastes pretty good by itself.
How to make Sugar Free Pumpkin Dip
I first made this pumpkin dip to bring to a tailgate gathering.
When you live in a college town, as I do, tailgate gatherings are a big deal. There are people who go to the tailgates and leave when the game actually starts. Tailgating is just a fun way to get together with friends and family during the fall football season.
Sharing fall-inspired foods is a perfect idea for tailgate gatherings. What food could say fall more than pumpkins?
You could find the perfect food to dip into your pumpkin dip with little problem.
One of my favorite choices would have to be apple slices. The is because apples also say 'fall' and thus, it can be a perfect marriage of fall foods. However, choosing something salty, such as a pita chip or club-style cracker would also work well. I like the way that the 'sweet' taste of the dip would work with the salt taste of the cracker.
This recipe calls for real pumpkin.
By 'real' pumpkin I mean that you can use pure pumpkin that comes in a can. You can buy "Pure Pumpkin" on Amazon. However, be sure to check the label to make sure that there is no added sugar in that can.
Also, you will need Pumpkin Pie Spice.
Pumpkin Pie Spice is what gives this that 'fall' taste or feeling. I personally love the smell that pumpkin pie spice gives to anything, especially, this time of the year. You can find pumpkin pie spice on Amazon as it could be hard to find locally as it could sell out.
Lastly, pumpkin itself does not have a lot of sugar.
One cup of cubed pumpkin will have around 30 calories, three grams of sugar and around seven net carbs. Because of this, it is important that you make sure that anything that you add, including the canned pumpkin, does not contain added sugar.
The recipe for How to make Sugar Free Pumpkin Dip
This is a really easy recipe to make. I like that you can blend it by hand or if you prefer, use a mixer on a low setting.
By the way, you may want to serve this along side my Sugar Free Copycat Nutella recipe. Banana chips would be perfect for serving both of these dips with.
